Google is updating Chrome for Windows this week to support the original notification shade within Windows 10. Google has tested this new support for months, and it ensures that Chrome notifications will go directly to the Windows 10 notification center by default.
Google is currently bringing this content to about 50% of Chrome users 68, and this default setting will be available to the majority of users in the coming days.
Chrome notifications will now stick to Focus Assist in Windows 10, which is designed to ignore notifications when a game is played or when no-disturb mode is enabled. For Windows 10's native Windows 10 notification support, Windows users will now need to wait until Google supports the latest Timeline feature from Microsoft.
If you have not received new Chrome notifications support yet, you can manually enable it on chrome: // flags by turning on native notifications.
