Samsung today announced its new Galaxy Home headset at the Unpacked2018 conference in New York, and it seems that these speakers will enter into fierce competition with Apple's HomePod headphones. Samsung said the speakers are designed to combine stunning sound and stylish design.
The design of the headset is very elegant, wrapped in fabric and raised by three metal legs, and has a flat top edge with buttons to control the sound or change the clips.
The speakers are designed to feature surround sound with six built-in speakers and a subwoofer. It also includes eight microphones with a remote range to detect audio inputs. You can say "Hi Bixby" to activate Samsung's assistant and prompt it to start playing music or perform any other task.
Many details were not disclosed, but Samsung said it would unveil more at the developers' conference in early November.
It is worth noting that Amazon has already taken the lead in the early market through its own Echo devices, while Google has managed to sell millions of home appliances as well. Amazon and Google may have more to offer before the holiday season, when Galaxy Home launches.
