Apple is considering creating a podcast similar to Chromecast

According to The Information, Apple seems to be looking for new ways to launch a live podcast like Google's Chromecast or Amazon's Fire TV Stick, which will lower the cost of the $ 180 Apple TV.

While it is unclear whether the device has gone beyond the brainstorming stage, it makes sense for Apple to explore new and inexpensive ways to distribute its content.

Apple TV has lost many competition with other broadcasters in recent years, dropping to just 15 per cent of the market share, according to research by Parks Associates. The broadcasters from Google from Amazon are available at prices ranging from $ 25 to $ 50, while Apple has not provided anything in this range. It is also reported that the company has explored the possibility of launching an application for smart TVs that will make their original content available.

Even if Apple does not launch a live broadcast, it will certainly look for new ways to bring the Apple TV platform to many people. It is also reported that the company is investing more than $ 1 billion in original software, including a production deal with Oprah Winfrey. The content will be available on Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads and Apple TV, but the company will need to reach out of the current ecosystem with broadcast content.
