Nvidia hints to launch the RTX 2080 card next week

Nvidia has been hinting at GeForce graphics processing units for several months. Today, the company has officially unveiled its Turing graphics processing unit and will appear to unveil its first GeForce graphics processor targeting players next week. The company has released a teaser video that includes more information.

While it is clear that Nvidia is trying to show the new graphics cards in the video, the video contains some hints about the label, and Reddit users at Wccftech have indicated that the new Nvidia card name will be the RTX 2080. Nvidia also revealed the history of the GeForce event In the video, where the number 2080 appeared at the end of the teaser video.

Nvidia's new Turing structure focuses on RT Cores, a technology designed to improve the lighting effects of games. Nvidia describes this new technology as the biggest leap since CUDA in 2006, so it's likely to see how the new RT Cores will make a difference in games next week. It was widely expected that Nvidia will offer the GPX 1180 with new GDDR6 memory and strong support for 4K games at 60 fps.
