Microsoft has given Android users a glimpse of an upcoming feature called "SMS Connect" on Skype. Windows Blog Italia has a new option in the latest version of Skype Preview, which allows you to send and receive text messages using Skype on Mac or Windows devices . If someone sends you a text message on your Android phone, you can reply to this message directly through the Skype application on your computer.
You can see this feature now if you're an Insider on Android, but it looks like you will not be able to play it yet, as the Skype Insider account on Twitter confirmed that the team is still working on it.
It is not clear whether SMS Connect will also be available on iOS. If you're a Windows Insider user, you'll be able to test the feature in future releases to ensure that it's error-free when you launch it in the future.
